Somaliland is still a little-known country. It has a particularity : it is an independent country but not recognized by the international community. This country is located in the Horn of Africa, bordering Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Yemen. Independent from Somalia since 1991,this country has its own president,Musa Bihi Abdi of the Party for Peace, Unity and Development, elected in 2017, its own capital named Hargeisa and its own currency named the Somaliland Shilling. The inhabitants are called the « Somalilander » and number about 3.5 million. Nevertheless, the country is seeking to develop its economic situation through trade, which is a very important element in contributing to it. For this, it is looking for investors. DPWorld, alogistics company with international reputation, has invested more than $400,000,000 to support the country’s development. However, many investors are sceptical about the country’s political status. But the country is determined to prove that it has the resources todevelop through itsreach it :agriculture, fishing, manufacturing and oil and gas exploration. Commercial offices are slowly beginning to flourish. Moreover, the country has an essential and strategic element to help open the country to globalization: Berbera, the commercial capital and its commercial port. The country absolutely wants to show other countries that it is ready to welcome infrastructure and that foreign capital will be safe there. For example, Coca-Cola has a large factory in the country. Indeed, the establishment of a factory would create jobsand develop the economic situation of the country.
